"Eloquent photographs that are a testament to the endeavours of the human soul. Seng Mah has always been the master of the environmental portrait but his current series from India is just blowing me away. Damn fine stuff."

"mix up some street, portrait, locations, icons, docos and throw them all at Seng and you've got quintessential duckmah dogmah. Yes, its a religion to be sure. A top bloke to boot who cares about his fellow PIPsters and is willing to share and inspire always. Top images too!"

"Sengsta is a jack of all trades and has given me many a lesson and handy hint on photography. In fact, he even gave me his camera! Well I had to pay for it, and I'm pretty sure he was getting teased for having a silver-bodied camera, but the point is I wouldn't be going a bit nuts over photography if it wasn't for him.
Also known for creating such interesting phrases as "bromance" and being a helpless gossip, Seng is a top guy and easy to tease. :)"17th July, 2007

"seng is more then willing to take photos of nude people, but less then willing to go nude himself. this is a shame, because when he grows his beard, he is going to be one hawt mofo! i suppose his photos ain't too bad either! ;-)"

Scott G Trenorden Photography says:
"The thing I find most profound about Seng Mah's photography is that he doesn't take one or two stunning photos of a situation, but manages to record the beauty unfolding throughout sets of several phenomenally beautiful images.
He tells the tale of a sunrise through a half dozen images, unfolding an epic story most often told by others with only one brief image.
A day's drafting is not captured in one or two images, but through a series of implacably timed and executed photographs, all testaments to the hard working subjects; and to Seng's endless talent.
I have been honoured to be able to learn so much from this great man, a true Perth talent."15th April, 2007

julesfotos.com says:
"View Seng's work with caution! His images, which at first glance appear to be superbly executed pieces of cameracraft, are in fact nothing more than whiskey fuelled propaganda with disturbing extremist political overtones. This man is deeply ill at ease with himself and the world at large. If you have the misfortune to meet him wash your hands at the soonest possible opportunity."

""Seng is an artist of the highest caliber, whose work and passion are an inspiration to more people than he can possibly realize. His talent is matched with an equally strong gift of encouragement and inspiration.""

"More so than a photographer, Seng is a visual storyteller. My reactions to his work are mixed, as is typical when working with such a subjective medium, but he never fails to get a reaction from me, be it emotional, intellectual, or offensively vocal. :-)
I am particularly moved by his street portraits and their accompanying stories, which are at times both brilliant and inspirational."31st August, 2006

"I look forward to seeing Sengster's photographs because there is always a few seconds before I remember that he's taking pictures of Perth. This snap of realisation over what should be familiar is a great pleasure and a credit to his art."

vapours says:
"It's Sengsters courage to approach characters of Perth and learn their story which is an instant drawcard for me with his style of portrait photography. While I was proud of myself with taking a couple of photos of an odd character in Fremantle from a distance, Seng had done one better and had already used him as a subject, as well as knowing his name and his life as a homeless artist.
It's this passion to learn and understand his subjects which will seperate him from other photographers, and will always be something that I admire in his work."28th June, 2006

urbanphotographer says:
"Sengster is (as his business card suggests) a true snap shooter. Composition, lighting and his subject matter are all determined in the space of what seems like several seconds.
The results however are second to none - from his clear dedication to the salty waters of our coastline, to the wrinkles, grins and cheeky smiles of innocent strangers. Seng manages to capture the thoughts, emotions and stories behind people and places.
An inspiration to many photographers here!"19th May, 2006

Vic Acid says:
"An incredible photographer, sengster captures action shots, portraits, and still lifes with an obvious skill to which so many of us aspire. His eye, hand, and composition skills draw me back day after day to see what now he's found for us all to savor. Few communicate visually the sense of one's home area as well as he does--Australia should thank him vociferously for his beach life and citizen life photos alike. Until that happens, I say thank you so much for sharing your talents with us here on flickr.com! You inspire us with your work."

Devar says:
"If you were to go down to a Perth beach one day and notice a man with a camera, snapping away, you'd more than likely be looking at sengster. He's not scared to ask total strangers to pose for him, and when they do, the results are quite substantial! Perth photogs better watch out, sengster is on the scene!"
