I am honored to serve as your State Senator.

I campaigned on the principles of a smaller, more effective government and have worked hard to make sure our core responsibilities -- education, health care, and transportation -- are met without raising taxes.

I am continuing this fight for you in the Florida Senate.

As Majority Whip and Chairman of the Senate Finance and Tax Committee, I am honored to lead the fight to provide long overdue property tax relief to all hard-working Floridians. We will listen to the people and seek an across-the-board tax cut, including reductions for first-time homebuyers, renters, and business owners. We must also pass tax reform to ensure that homeowners are not trapped in their homes by the possibility of a sudden tax increase that makes moving -- even downsizing -- unaffordable.
