My interest in visual art, mostly in the form of drawing, began when I was quite young. I took a variety of art classes in high school and during physical therapy school I made meticulous human anatomy drawings which served as helpful study aides. Also, during my college years my girlfriend (now my wife) took a photography course which caught my attention and lead me to purchase a used 35mm SLR camera. I was hooked.

My photography currently feels a bit frenetic and I am actively trying to bring some mindfulness and pacing to this work. My heedless bouts of speed and blind ambition are laid bare when working with a camera in challenging and often sensitive outdoor environments. I am grateful for the opportunity to work on such things.
