"Dee Dee, we have not been friends for a long time but this comes from my heart. You truly have a gift for photography! You capture the moment, the image. You see what others don't, yet want, so when the time comes to share what you have captured, it's there. A lot of people are so wrapped up in their moment but you truly are gifted. You work like a ninja! You are everywhere and nowhere at the same time. And your eye for what's important manifests itself in a myriad of ways. But more than that--what impresses me the most is how you thank everyone and leave comments that are so kind and complimentary, it shows me that you really do look at the photos and always take the time to say something meaningful. Thanks so much for just being you!!!"

"One of my friends commented that she enjoys seeit_snapit's photos because seeit_snapit is always trying new things. What my friend should have said is that seeit_snapit is always accomplishing new things. No half-measures here. What seeit_snapit attempts seeit_snapit accomplishes. And, by all appearances, in short order.
One of the reasons I love seeit_snapit's photos is that - judging by most of them - she believes in clarity. The exceptions belong to her love of bokeh. And in stunning photos like 'Star lights', 'Texas abstract', 'Yay for bokeh!' and 'Happy Bokeh Wednesday', seeit_snapit makes the case for why blur is often better.
And seeit_snapit is adventurous too and will do anything for Flickr. She will fly in helicopters and shoot a landscape which at first looks alien to Texas but turns out to be one of the prettiest golf courses south of the 49th parallel. She will swim with dolphins and, in a courageous feat as foolhardy as any I've seen on Flickr, allow one of those dolphins to attach itself to her left foot and propel her head first towards the edge of a cement pool - all the while refusing to request that the dolphin cease and desist. She will wrap a boa constrictor around her neck and smile painlessly for the portrait capturing it.
And on top of all this she takes stunning photos. See 'You can always go downtown', 'A nice room', and 'Tree landscape', for photos of wide open and sometimes claustrophobic Texas. For photos on the wild side view 'I see dinner', 'Sweet Thang', 'Mesmerizing', 'Have a Beary nice evening', and one of my favorites, 'Whazzat??' in which Meg the dog perks up an ear and bares her teeth - over a bone. These are just a few photos among many others as beautiful.
And on a recent model shoot seeit_snapit showed just how adept she is at portraits. Two in particular stand out. 'Portrait 3' gives us an engaging model at play in a swimming pool. The model's fun is infectious and you'd think seeit_snapit would have it easy here. But note her timing with both the model's play and her expression. Everything works in this photo and seeit_snapit has depicted an ideal to stunning effect. In 'A portrait in black and white', the model appears less enthusiastic. She might just be acting. There is beauty here and seeit_snapit's camera takes it in and there is complacency in the model's pose and, though never judging, seeit_snapit's camera records that too and the result is a superb photo even critical eyes should take kindly to. But some didn't. Some were mistaking the model's pose for a complacency on seeit_snapit's part. And this is a sign of just how thoroughly seeit_snapit has mastered this photo.
There is another series of portraits that are particular standouts. Please note any picture featuring a model known only as Amy. 'Portrait by the fence in black and white #2', 'Old world style glamour', and 'A model subject' are among the most brilliant portraits I've seen on Flickr. The reason these portraits succeed is partly because of the model's intelligent good looks but also because of seeit_snapit's ability to elicit Amy's good humor and record it with the beauty - and clarity - Amy deserves. Clearly seeit_snapit knows people as well as she knows landscapes, wild animals and blur - and photography. No half-measures here."14th November, 2008

"I do not know enough adjectives to describe how wonderful Snap is. She is smart and funny and has a pure heart. I love looking at her stream because she always captures the beauty and the innocence of the world around her. She has an eye for beauty that most people overlook. You don't need to read her bio to know her, just look at her pictures. Her heart is in everyone of them.
Snap is a wonderful photographer, person, and friend. She has a great sense of humor and a great sense of compassion.
Thank you, Snap, for your pictures, your encouragement and for not being afraid to put your heart into your art.
You are my muse."10th November, 2007
