Paul Freeney - Photographic Art's photostream  

Paul Freeney has been producing iconic images of Ireland and further afield since 1980.

In February 2009 Paul undertook a project that would consume his life on a daily basis for a full year, to record in images the wildlife at Northwood, an urban lake in Santry, Dublin.
The project grew from a few postings on Flickr to postings with reports, to a popular wildlife blog.
Interest grew so much that RTE, Ireland's national radio station interviewed Paul at the lake. Spurred on by the public reaction the project became a very successful debut Photographic Exhibition entitled 'Northwood Wild' www.flickr.com/photos/sebfotos/sets/72157623616500668/ which ran for the month of March 2010 in a luxurious unit in Omni Park Shopping Centre.

Having wrapped the successful exhibition, Paul wanted to change direction in his photographic art and embarked on the journey toward his next exhibition, which launched (with two other photographers this time) on the 26th of November 2010. www.flickr.com/photos/sebfotos/sets/72157625363500222/ The November Exhibition as it came to be known was another great success despite a very austere Government Budget in the middle of it and snow which brought the country to a standstill.

Paul is now working on another project in the photographic field, still hush hush at the moment, but suffice to say it is innovative and new for Ireland !
