I am currently a graduate student studying marine aquaculture in the Mid Atlantic. As a young ecologist I studied intertidal systems and focused on seaweed.

My creative side also consumes me, and so my photostream is an eclectic mix of both scientific an artistic endeavors. To separate the two would be to cut me in half... I cook, I craft, I photograph obsessively (yah, that's me waggling my lens out of the window at 65 mph), and try to learn as much as I can throughout the day.

Many of my seaweed images I've also posted to AlgaeBase for educational purposes.
