I love both shooting and processing photos. I use a Canon 50D, a Canon Powershot G11, and an iPhone 3GS. For processing, I have Photoshop CS4 -- a platform you never stop learning.

The 365 project I started on Sept. 1, 2010, is one of the biggest challenges I've ever undertaken in photography. It's deepened my commitment to the craft and made me more aware of potential photographs everywhere I go. It's also led me to make and post images I wouldn't otherwise have had, some of which have received very kind comments.

Six things I look for on Flickr:
1. Images that tell a story
2. Compositions that are perfectly self-contained
3. New ways of seeing familiar sights
4. Creative use of typography
5. Simple, expressive portraits
6. Way to create an impact with accessible subjects and simple effects
