SCUBADOO DIVE SHOP
Scubadoo Dive Shop is owned and operated by Brett Kalvin Russ Garcia and Dale Aubrey Garcia, Certified PADI Dive Instructors who have combined both diving skills and equipment expertise to provide a comprehensive and in-depth SCUBA Diving Courses/Programs for both experienced divers and beginners. They also offer SCUBA Equipment Sales, Rentals and Services.


HISTORY
Scubadoo Dive Shop was created in 2003 and is essentially a product of three things:
1. Passion for diving
2. Love for teaching, and
3. Sincere empathy for fellow divers.

After undergoing the PNP Basic Underwater Search, Rescue and Recovery Operation Course (BUSRROC) in April 2000 and becoming Certified Dive Masters by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) by November 2002, Brett and Dale realized that most students of the PNP were still using outmoded and possibly already malfunctioning SCUBA equipments which heightened the risk to life and limb.

With this in mind and knowing that diving is a costly recreation, the brothers sought out ways and means to help their fellow divers. This led them to acquire a personal loan from their father, Mr. Orlan Garcia initially purchasing 12 sets of SCUBA Regulators and Buoyancy Compensator Devices (BCD) to help the PNP students by renting them out at a much cheaper rate. To be an official business entity, Scubadoo Dive Shop was registered with DTI the year after.

Brett and Dale continued their education in the field of teaching student divers until they passed the grueling unbiased two-day Instructors Examination conducted by PADI, the most prestigious and largest certifying agency worldwide in February 2003.

Due to their level of experience, they were the first PADI Dive Instructors authorized and accredited by PNP - HRDD to conduct Open Water Training Course and BUSRROC to all interested and qualified PNP personnel.

Year 2004 - 2005, Brett and Dale were assigned as in-house dive instructors in Aman Pulo located on the private island of Pamalican, Palawan .

Year 2006, The Garcia brothers organized a successful Coastal Clean Up and mooring of Buoys in Anilao and Bauan, Batangas together with the help of PNP Scuba Diver Association (PNPSDA).

Year 2009, they commenced another training of Underwater Operation Course to the Special Action Force (SAF-UOC).

Year 2010, they tied-up with Island Cove Resort providing Discover Scuba Diving Program to all interested guests and employees.

At present, Scubadoo Dive Shop continues to provide quality education and training, not just for men in uniform but for civilians as well who would like to gain an extensive yet safe training in the field of SCUBA Diving.
