Counselor, explorer, photographer, ex-zookeeper, ex-petstore associate, and general freelancer. Currently employed as a Counselor at the Macon YDC.
As a former zookeeper, I have a keen interest in animals, animal care, animal exhibits, and animal behavior. These interests are paralleled in my interest in Anthropology, particularly visual anthropology. I am intrigued by how people live and interact with their environments, and believe that photography can be a gateway to better understanding peoples that are otherwise inaccessible.
I have a keen interest in international affairs. In particular, I am interested in the Great Lakes Region of Africa. While I have never been able to experience it firsthand, I have spent quite a lot of time working to better understand the politics, history, and peoples of this region, and want to learn more.
I also have strong interests in neuroscience, psychology, adolescent issues, and QEEG imaging.
