The California State Coastal Conservancy has funded a study by Studio 606 of the California State Polytechnic University at Pomona, to be completed between September of 2008 and June of 2009. The study includes an extensive inventory and analysis of the Santa Clara River watershed, followed by the identification of opportunities and constraints related to the potential establishment of trail systems and public access along the length of the Santa Clara River Parkway. Special attention will be paid to the investigation and identification of opportunities for the utilization of emergent technologies for educational programming. These emergent technologies have the potential to not only tell the story of the Santa Clara River, but to also involve the user in the further creation of its story.
