Scott Kinmartin. Get yours at bighugelabs.com/flickr

My name is Scott Kinmartin, 27, I was born and raised outside Buffalo, NY. In August of 2003 I made the big move to Orlando, FL after playing two years of football for Canisius College in Buffalo. I transferred to UCF and Valencia for Film and Digital Media technology.

I am an adventurous person whose passions include: video production, film, photography, graphic design, web design and any other form of art. I currently have my Associates degree and four Technical Certificates for Digital Media Technology. I have a digital video editing suite with an iMac G5 powered with Final Cut Pro (Studios), PhotoShop, iLife (iMovie, iDVD, Motion, LiveType), DVD Studio Pro, Photo Booth, Soundtrack Pro and much more!

I have produced many short films as well as documentaries, silent films, music videos and webisodes. The last two years I've competed in Orlando's O-36 Video Race where I've contributed to work that's been screened at Universal Studio's Cineplex. My future plans include directing and producing my own feature films that bring a new creative style to the industry. I like acting and I enjoy being in front of and behind the camera. My present goal is to bring out the talent in Orlando with original, fresh, artistic work in the entertainment industry. Watch out for Kinmartin Multimedia Productions!

    Jennifers Photography says:

"Scott's photos have a way of bringing his subject front and center. He illuminates his subjects perfectly so the viewer can take in what is important in his photo.

His photos of musicians draw us into their world, showing us the intense way an artist feels while performing their craft. Scott shows us the way they lose themselves in their music but also the way they relax and let down afterwards.

Scott has a flair for bringing out his subjects' personalities while at the same time, perfectly composing the shot around them. He has a way of making his subjects comfortable enough to be themselves with him behind the lens, thereby showing us, the viewer, what it is he wants us to see.

Scott has shown us that he is proficient at photographing all types of subjects, whether they are people, insects, artwork, animals or landscapes. He excels at any and all."

""Scott Kinmartin's work is alive. Every set demonstrates serious concentration and professionalism regarding his craft. His photographs are beautifully and imaginatively composed and captured. His compassion and curiosity come through each and every one. His vision and use of voice or character are always fresh so that the viewer is surprised and delighted by his eye. I love the clarity, purpose and vivid use of color in his photos. And the light! - Check out the light - as a viewer, I always feel intimately connected to the photograph, because I can see so well into it. Look at each set; they all have something different to say, all offer the viewer an invitation to be curious about the subject, to celebrate the subject. Lastly, Scott naturally brings a deep and pervasive kindness to each subject. This is a photographer whose humanity is in tact. This is an artist who has profound respect for the world and it's inhabitants." ---------------------"

"Scott is a multitalented young man with a lot of creativity and vision in his work. I believe he is still searching for an explicit own style, but I am sure he will succeed ! I especially loves his macro and flower shots, but maybe that's because I love that too...
I look forward to see his future works and I think he will become one of the greats in flickr !

"Scott's phototgraphy is interesting and varied. Whether he is observing people, animals or places he manages to frame his shots perfectly so we can share his experiences. His portraits are often penetrating and candid studies. He clearly has a rapport with animals who seem to respond to his lens in a relaxed manner. His pictures convey a lot of feeling and emotion and he is always willing to experiment and try something new. He is a supportive and conscientious contact on Flickr who regularly leaves constructive comments on photographs he enjoys."
