my love of photography started when i looked though my fathers photographs as a lad of 10. i loved his brilliant black & whites the artistic eye he had shone through his work. and this has stayed with me ever since. i quess its the keeping of moments that would otherwise fade with my memory, not only this but being able to share this with others is also a joy. i have since studyed professional photography and have for a few years now made it my profession. i have also been lucky enough to teach this wonderful subject lecturing at the glasgow metropolitan college. this allows me to share my love of photography with other like minded people. so there you have it.

    Well like Phil, I also count David as a friend. These words however are not borne from that relationship.

    Like Fack to Brunt, David is actually my favourite photographer, he has a simply first class catalogue of images and I believe doesn't actually attain the praise for his work, which he deserves. The really galling thing is that he actually excells in just about every genre. But he is not simply an excellent photographer, he is a talented and respected re-toucher, tutor of photography, extensively knowledgeable on Scotlands places and wildlife and lastly a mentor to me.
