I like compact photography as it makes you work hard for any shot. I find post processing is very important with compact photography compared to using a DSLR.

I came more into compact due to costs. After owning and regretfully selling a Canon 550D I decided on a Nikon S8100, Not the best for manual controls, but I find for a quick point and shoot, and great video it does the trick.

My next camera will either be a Nikon P300, Canon S95. I'm leaning towards the P300 as the F1.8 lens will allow me some great shots in low light, and faster shutter speeds for capturing the moment.

Another camera I'd really like to get my hands on is the Olympus C5050Z. Search Google or FlickR for some great examples of what this old camera can do.
