SCI ist eine weltweite Friedens- und Freiwilligen NGO, die durch internationale Projektwochen Menschen, Gesellschaften und Kulturen zusammenführen möchte. SCI Österreich bietet die Möglichkeit durch internationale Voluntary Projects in 90 verschiedenen Ländern zu leben und gemeinsam mit anderen Volunteers auf lokaler Ebene aktiv mitzuarbeiten.
Die Ziele des SCI beinhalten die Förderung sozialer Gerechtigkeit, nachhaltiger Entwicklung, internationales Verständnisses sowie die Schaffung von Solidarität durch Freiwiligenarbeit. SCI glaubt, dass Freiwiligenarbeit ein sinnvolles Werkzeug für die Entwicklung von Frieden und Multikulturalität ist.

Service Civil International (SCI) is a peace organisation that co-ordinates international voluntary projects for people of all ages, cultures, religious and economic backgrounds.

Our work is based in the belief that all people are capable of living together and co-operating with mutual respect and without recourse to violence to solve conflict.
Through international voluntary work we aim to give people the chance to experience this way of living whilst contributing in a useful manner to the community.
