For generations, people have been coming to the ancient redwoods, the tallest and some of the largest and oldest living beings on Earth, to unburden, relax and renew. The work of Save the Redwoods League is to keep this place of peace alive.

Since 1918, Save the Redwoods League has protected redwoods by purchasing priority pieces of land and donating or selling the property to government agencies that preserve the forests as parks and reserves. We restore logged forests to their majestic state by, among other efforts, removing roads and creating wildlife habitat. We also inspire current and future generations to save redwoods by supporting organizations that help people better understand and appreciate these trees. In addition, we award research grants to learn what redwoods need to survive, and we develop science-based plans to save redwoods throughout their natural ranges.
