Savannah Schroll Guz holds a Master's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh. In 1997-1998, she was a Fulbright Scholar and worked as a correspondence translator for Bavaria's Prince von Hohenzollern. Currently, she is a regular contributor to Library Journal, where she writes a monthly column on newly released reference guides. Previously, her essays, reviews, and cultural criticism have appeared in Sculpture, The European Journal of Cultural Studies, Modernism/Modernity, Bitch Magazine, Popmatters, and Pittsburgh City Paper. She is an adjunct English instructor at West Virginia Northern in Wheeling and co-founder of Pittsburgh's The New Yinzer Presents Reading Series. Savannah is author of the short story collection, The Famous and The Anonymous (2004) and editor of the theme-based fiction anthology, Consumed: Women on Excess (2005). She has been nominated for a Pushcart and a Storysouth Million Writers Award. A new collection of fiction, American Soma, will be released by Oregon-based So New Publishing in May 2009.
