These photos you see show how well (I hope) I present myself in the image of a woman. So in case it's not already obvious [SPOILER ALERT!!] I'm not actually a woman. What I am is someone with a highly developed female side, two people in one you might say and I have learned the skills to present in this way almost entirely myself.

It's something I do for reasons I can't really explain, except that just existing within the confines of my birth gender isn't enough somehow. It's a need I have, as do many men in fact (most will not reveal this side of themselves because society doesn't approve). As 'her' I feel more complete and true to myself, oh and its a lot of fun!

This is but a small segment of my life and most of it you don't get to see (best kept that way I think). I'm not looking for anything or anyone (apart from friendship) and I'm definitely not 'available' - people sometimes get the wrong idea it seems! This is something I enjoy doing for myself - please do though enjoy my photos and if so, do comment too especially if you pick favourites or add me as a contact.

Can I ask people adding me as a contact to please respect my viewing preference (no 'restricted' images) and flag their photos correctly. I am seeing far too many images flagged as 'safe' which are anything but!

Style-wise I try to stick to what's achievable, convincingly realistic and reasonably in tune with current fashion. I do like to try more extreme looks, some of my photos try to reflect this side of me.

Transgenderism comes with both positives and negatives and involves striking a balance between essentially two different personalities - not always an easy thing. I am still very much finding my way after only being 'out' since 2006. I actually spent almost 20 years hiding this from the world, which I really regret now and feel I've really missed out.

In the years since I've made great efforts to boldly go beyond my four walls out into the wider world 'en femme' and do things I enjoy like seeing friends, shopping, clubbing, events and so on.

Once out of the so-called closet you can't really go back; however, I have had setbacks and times where I've questioned whether its worth the effort (and it can involve a LOT of effort believe me) or if I still enjoy it but one thing's for sure, this thing is not simply a choice.

Well apart from the dressing, for me the best part of the transgender experience is the friendship, support and company of others who share our unique trait. Flickr has been in the five years I've been on it (mostly) a good place to interact with others and I've made some amazing friends through it.
