I am a misunderstood optimist living in the wet tropical bioregion of far north Queensland. I enjoy the process of taking photos and the contemplation and reflection that follows. I am far from a technically great photographer and would like to take better images. I invite constructive critique of my photostream.

I am fortunate to be surrounded by more than 900,000 hectares of World Heritage-listed land that former governments considered nothing more than a resource that should be plundered for the benefit of a corrupt few individuals. So much has been lost, but due to the brave and intelligent efforts of a relatively small group of individuals, we now have a large area of wilderness that will be the dominant theme of my photostream. Whilst viewing my images I invite to you bring into counciousness the enormous positive impact made by these individuals and what could have well been lost.
