Sandra Maytham-Bailey's photostream

Sandra Maytham-Bailey's photography has come full circle. After qualifying with a photo journalism degree from Rhodes University in 1986, Sandy followed a career in advertising. In 2007 she resigned from the agency business and has since dedicated herself to her passion…photography.

Sandra enrolled at the Cape Town School of Photography to improve her digital skills and completed most of the courses on offer at the school. She has exhibited and facilitated a social documentary workshop through the school. She was also chosen for the African Photo Entrepreneur Programme [http://www.africamediaonline.com/], completing a Masterclass in digital workflow and image management and has received a Professional Pro-Photo award in photo-journalism.

Sandra is presently working as a freelance documentary photographer based in Cape Town and also lectures the full time students at the Cape Town School of Photography.

Sandra has published two books and was recently awarded the L'Ormarins Queens Plate Photographic Moment first prize.
