Matachines' photostream

The original purpose of this account was to educate people re: the matachines dance tradition as I have seen /participated in it in my native San Antonio, TX. For those wishing to read up on it, this link

has a number of very good essays on the subject. While I don't agree entirely with it, I think it's by far the best source I've seen on the web, covering a variety of versions of this dance.

Matachines, though, aren't the only subject in my account anymore, though. At times I load photos of art -both guerrilla style and my own block prints. But, I've pulled a lot of stuff too to accommodate the 200 photo limit. Obviously, there are also albums dedicated to inidigenous pictographs and petroglyphs and ecology.
