Samuel Merrin is an antiquities dealer, and owner of the Merrin Gallery in New York. He is often asked to authenticate artworks for auction houses, art dealers, and leading museums – and gladly does so!

When not working, Samuel Merrin devotes his free time to pursuits like on the board for a youth-development village in Rwanda, and a care organization for the elderly in the United States. Read more on how to take part and Samuel Merrin's involvement.

Professionally, he has acquired and sold many well-known ancient art collections. Samuel has also brokered major objects of art from collectors-to-collectors, as well as to countless national and international museums.

The gallery originates in the mid-1960s – when Samuel's father Edward started dealing in pre-Columbian art. It became incorporated as the Merrin Gallery in 1999, and Samuel took over that year, having been involved with ancient art since very early on. He's now an expert like his father, as has proudly coordinated several major museum exhibitions.
