The story behind Little Voice:
I'm hugely inspired by music. My stories, my photos, my ideas- they all come from it. So, one day on Flickr, I decided I was going to change my username. I wanted it to be something that inspired me and that means something, even if only to me. So I thought about it, and finally, I chose a name. It's the name of an album- an album that's not by my favorite artist and doesn't have my favorite song on it. It's Little Voice, Sara Bareilles' debut album. It is an album that I discovered in a car ride with my cousin where I found a connection between her. We liked the same songs. Little Voice was the first album that brought me to someone who had always been there, but didn't become as real to me as she did there.
Little Voice means a lot about who I am. Sometimes I feel so tired of being around people that I inch for time to be by myself and just hear me and me alone. Other times, I feel like I'm standing alone in a crowded room, that no one can see that I am somebody- someone special, someone who has talents, but just has a little voice, and can't seem to bring it out. Little Voice is me, and it will always be me. And I have to say I'm proud to be her.
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
