Originally from Lethbridge, I made the move to country life where my husband and I have been farming north of Lethbridge, Alberta since 1994. Aside from raising 3 children, ages 7 to 12, I also run a tax consulting business from home.

In 2004, I bought a digital point and shoot camera for my husbands' birthday. (It really was more of a present to me.) I started taking pictures of my 3 children but found a real passion in photographing flowers and other outdoor scenes. I joined the Lethbridge Photography Club in 2006 with very little photographic knowledge but a real eagerness to learn and fast.

In July 2007, I gave back the worn out point and shoot and purchased a new digital SLR. What a learning curve! I love showing my children all the world has to offer and the bonus is; I get to record it all on my camera.

I am very nervous to show my work next to the experienced but I believe that the best way to improve is to get out there and show yourself.

I am still an active member of the Lethbridge Photography Club (LPC) and look forward to our meetings and fieldtrips. I have learned so much from the members and encourage anyone to join their local club, even just to share your photography passion.
