Salvador del Saz

Since I was a teenager I liked photography. My first camera was a Yashica Electro 35 GSN that I still keep with me as a little treasure. Later, I bought two reflex cameras: a Olympus OM10 and a Pentax P30N. Several compacts cameras followed these ones. Although I went on taken photos, my interest in photography began to languish. However, in 2004 I borrowed from my brother a compact digital camera Nikon for a trip to Germany and my interest in photography reborn from its ashes. Now, I'm really happy taking photos and sharing them with anybody thanks to the community of people drawn together by Filckr.

Why salvita_42? Two reasons. First, when I joined Flickr I was 42 and, second, my mom calls me salvita (little salva), hence my nickname.

Todos los demás atributos tradicionales de la juventud: el entusiasmo, los afectos generosos, las ilusiones, la desesperación -todos menos éste- , aparecen y desaparecen a lo largo de la vida. Forman parte de la vida misma. Pero la languidez -la relajación de los músculos todavía no agotados, la mente que busca la soledad y se entrega a la introspección- sólo pertenece a la juventud y con ella muere.

Desde que era un adolescente ya me gustaba la fotografía. Mi primera cámara fué una Yashica Electro 35 GSN que todavía conservo como un pequeño tesoro. Después compré dos cámaras reflex: una Olympus OM10 y una Pentax P30N. Varias compactas siguieron a éstas y aunque seguí haciendo fotos, mi pasión por la fotografía empezó a languidecer. Sin embargo, en 2004 mi hermano me prestó una cámara digital Nikon para un viaje que hice a Alemania y mi interés en la fotografía renació de sus cenizas. Ahora, estoy realmente féliz haciendo fotos y compartiéndolas con todos vosotros gracias a Flickr.
