El edificio de la Rotonda, referencia modernista de Barcelona, es un hito en la memoria colectiva de la ciudad. Desde sus inicios, ha sido el primer edificio de la ciudad jardín que aún existe al pie del Tibidabo, y que hay que conservar como elemento significativo.
Actualmente, hay un proyecto en trámite de licencia de obras que pretende derribar la mayor parte del edificio. El resultado de la operación, si es avalada por el Ayuntamiento, será un trozo de fachada modernista empotrada en un enorme volúmen compacto.
Por tanto, pedimos, legítimamente, que se haga una rehabilitación integral que respete la esencia del edificio, eliminando los añadidos y las remontas, todo ello dando cumplimiento a la normativa de Patrimonio que lo protege.

The building of la Rotonda, modernist reference to Barcelona, is a milestone in the collective memory of the city. Since its creation, it has been the first building of the garden city that still exists at the mountain side of Tibidabo, and it must be preserved as a significant element.
Today, there is a building project permit in process that aims to tear down most of the building. The results of the operation, if backed by the city council, will be a modernist facade built into a huge compact volume.
Therefore, we ask, legitimately, to do a complete restoration that respects the essence of the building, removing extensions and modifications, complying with the Heritage legislation that protects it.
