Salmon World is a fascinating attraction based in Rakaia, the salmon capital of New Zealand.

Only 40 minutes drive south of Christchurch, next to the Rakaia Giant Salmon on the side of State Highway One, Salmon World makes a perfect stopping place or day out for all the family.

Salmon World contains an aquarium experience, a unique 4D film, a cafe restaurant and bar, all based in a stunning salmon shaped building.

The cafe restaurant has a large deck that overlooks a landscaped fish pond where you can relax and watch the fish.
