Hello and welcome to my humble digital abode here on Flickr. My name is Jacky Powell, artist designer aka SafariSister. This digital persona evolved over many years by myself, friends & family as a kind of embodiment (and funny caricature) of my travels and art experiments over the years. A light hearted tag that most of us creatives can id with -- to adventure, to travel, to create to go where no girl has gone before for that ah-ha moment!!!

So here i am at experiment #342 - i'm currently living somewhere in the world, focused on a sustainable life, creating user experience and designs in around all things digital and webbed, doodling with metal bits and pieces over at safarisister.etsy.com and just enjoying the moment :>

These days i'm more of a digital metalsmith, although at one time i could raise a silver bowl or set a gem properly -- but i am a traveler and a wanderer and explorer. It's the problem solving that is interesting to me -- how do people "feel" when they utilize mobile or webbed products and services...its anthropology for the digital age... how identical and yet so completely unique humans are across cultural spectrums....which always leads me back to this mechanical fiddling, traveling to find, looking up physical properties, learning about the history of, in and around many different topics. In my own little corner in my own little room i can be whatever i want to be. It's fabulous!
