Opportunist, sentimentalist, nothing specialist.

A bit of background.

I did half an A level course in photography and never finished it. That was about 1991.

I did nothing for ages, save a few odd shots on Advantix film and the odd snappy cam.

I got back into photography when I bought a Canon iXUS 40 in about 2003. I started taking pictures of anything and everything. I sat on the iXUS 40 one bonfire night and ended up with an iXUS 65 for just £50 excess.

I really wanted a DSLR (or thought I did), but I happened to pick up an old Pentax ME super with two 50mm lenses for £35. It sat in a box for a year, before I dared get into film and all its complexities.

I went a bit crazy on ebay and kitted myself out with some good basics for a 35mm set-up for about £100.

Now I think I'll probably stick with film.
