Funlovin, hardworkin (well... sometimes), electro-mechanically inclined guy who tends to procrastinate.

Photography has saved me a great deal of typing (pic=1k wds) and communicates far better than words I can muster. I'm still a point-&-shooter but hope to learn more. Please feel free to offer advise on how I can improve my technique. (I can sure use it!) Also, let me know if something strikes a chord.

One of my projects is to scan in some photos from a scrapbook I created between 1978 and 1991 when I worked as a "Metalocker." These were some exciting times when I enjoyed traveling much of the industrial world repairing the impossible to repair (that was our motto). I hope you find some of the equipment and repair techniques interesting.

My hat's off to this community of flickerites who have inspired me to picture, ponder and post. I appreciate your talents and perspectives far beyond the ability to express my gladditude.

(I copied the sentences below word-for-word from mofo, who copied it from labspics...thanks for saying it so perfectly!)

Textual invites only and NO awards please!

Please don't invite my photos to groups or give awards by pasting pictures and ugly code in bold type in this stream. A regular text invitation will be read happily. I appreciate the intention and might even come and join, but I have a slight aversion to the graphic noise many groups spread.

If you do I will probably delete the invite or award. Sorry.

"rvrich's photographs are an eclectic mix, with frequent suprises. The engineering pictures are, for a fellow engineer, a real treat to browse through with many "wow" moments. He has a great eye for capturing the "everyday" and recording great shots that just tell how it is!
Brilliant reportage photography with pretty landscapes, off the wall humourous shots and random interest photos thrown in for good measure.

    Well worth a look through!"
