I was a musician and songwriter for 13 years, then returned to college and earned a bachelor's degree in journalism. I was a newspaper reporter for another 14 years, my last years with the L.A. Times.
I've always been a poet, and I still compose music and have sound cues on file that have been used on cable television.
I am definitely an amateur, self-taught photographer who loves working with images as a way to clear the writer's palette. Photography is my hobby. Writing is my craft.
