Visual Fine Artist,interested in "Site" using Spatial Practices which can incorporate Architecture, Fine Art and Performance.Earlier training in Ceramics and Stained Glass together with extensive experience in the Construction Industry are now being utilised in my Contemporary Practice.
Working mainly with drawing,photography and architectural interventions/installations that explore our sense and experience of place.
My work commands and demands a need for a reflective solitude, a sense of dwelling amongst absences,symbolic and actual.The use of materials from the locality( chalk,earth, vegetation and found objects) implies a personal geography drawn from the direct relationship to an inherited Earth/Gaia. There is the suggestion that the "absences" recorded within the practice might serve as "inclusions" a legacy and space set into a field of materiality for some metaphysical introspection.
My ongoing practice seeks to raise forms as vessels that can through their material memory attempt to encounter an enchantment in the realm of the insubstantial and the contingent.
Recent working methods and research are investigating spatial practices in architecture and city planning of both public and private spaces and the possible inclusion of creative interventions to promote "life between buildings."


Keenly interested in and pursuing collaborative projects and ventures that facilitate issues of "site and situation"through creative and innovative strategies.
