  "Perhaps the most compelling testimony to how much I appreciate Russ’s work is that I have followed him from each of his deleted accounts to the new one that followed—and, even now--- I am taking the time to write a new testimonial for his latest account knowing full well that he might move again. Indeed, Russ constantly challenges himself and looks at each of his images with an exacting critical eye as he strives to improve his already wonderful work. He wears many photographic hats in his work, ranging from tilt shift to ICM to long exposure and from color to monochrome, but they are all tied together with the unifying thread of that critical eye. I can only imagine that he struggles with his pursuit of perfection, likely finding it, at times, frustrating, but we, the viewer, certainly get to reap the rewards of that struggle!
