Hi Im Ruthie, I live in beautiful South West Scotland,

I am deeply inspired by the beautiful part of the world i live in and try to capture its elements with my camera so that I can then work them into my paintings of folklore, fantasy & mother nature.

I am a maker & a collector of things, intricate pieces of driftwood from the shore, seedpods from the hedgerows, feathers from my woodland walks and I give them new life in my makings.

I love wild flowers, ancient trees & creatures great & small. I am fascinated by folklore and faerietales. My most favourite places are woodlands & windswept beaches or tucked deep in my garden. Oh and of course the place I love most, the wilds of Scotland.

I am inspired by ancient buildings, old cemeteries, stained glass, Celtic & medieval art. So many things, many of which you will find in my sets & collections here on Flickr.
