Former US Marine and basically just a chill kind of guy who loves great music, good friends and excellent tequila. A Southern California native I enjoy spending time at the beach and being outdoors taking pictures. I'm cool if your cool.

I'm still new at taking photos and the Fujifilm S1500 was the first camera I ever bought, back in 2009. I didn't even have a camera-phone. The majority of photo's I upload are straight out of the camera and unedited....unless noted in the description. My goal is to learn how to take good and eventually GREAT photos. The way I see it, if I'm constantly having to edit my pics to get them to look good, then all I'm really learning is how to use photo editing programs. That's fine for creative purposes, but I want to be able to take good photos.

I know what I like and I want to be able to capture images I find interesting or funny...or simply beautiful. In time, maybe the images I photograph will give people insight into who I really am...and help tell the story of the soul beneath the flesh.

I no longer have my Finepix S1500 and recently purchased (Nov 4, 2011) the Finepix S4000. I don't know how well the S4000 works as yet, but you can check my photostream and judge for yourself. I can tell you that dollar for dollar the S1500 was an outstanding camera. I miss it Big Time.
