After a career in law enforcement for 20 years as a deputy sheriff, I left law enforcement to attend Life University of Chiropractic and graduated in 1979. I opened my own practice in 1982 and simultaneously rejoined the sheriff's dept and did both for 10 years, retiring from the sheriff's department in 1992. Always having an interest in law, I attended law school and graduated in 2000. I uses my expertise in medicine,law enforcement and law to teach nationally in areas of malpractice, criminal law, tort law, risk management and documentation of medical records. I have written many books on medical-legal issues, nutrition, exercise and fitness, which are published in a variety of medical and chiropractic magazines.
