She has also appeared in a variety of tv commercials either singing or acting. Her new self-penned and produced single "Fall Into You" is currently in rotation on radio stations across Canada.

Long Bio:
A poet's heart, and a traveler's soul, Rose Ranger was raised on the North Shore of Vancouver, initially training in dance (ballet, jazz, tap) and later at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, Capilano University Theatre Company, Vancouver College Music Program, along with studies in voice and healing bodywork modalities. Rose has performed in Canada, America, The Bahamas, Germany, Australia, and Africa, entertaining audiences at music festivals, theatre venues, cruise lines, clubs, and private functions. Her voice and self-penned songs can be heard on radio, television (One Life To Live, Joan Of Arcadia, Dawson's Creek), commercials (Discovery Coast Tourism Australia), and Animation (The Adventures of Chuck and Friends) to name a few.

The youngest of four kids, Rose grew up with an artsy, eccentric and adopted Irish mother (Katherine Diane McGowan) and a Scottish/Ukrainian father (Vic Leitch), along with her brother Jud, step-dad Paul (uncle to Canadian actress Sarah Gadon) and his children Tanyth and Talli. Her parents changed their surname to Ranger using the Kabbalah numerology system hence, Rose Ranger was born. Rose attended an alternative elementary school called Windsor House, and there her artistic nature was encouraged to take root and develop.

Rose has come a long way since winning first place at the Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival, where she sang the solo with her West Vancouver Secondary School choir. Rose's musical influences in pop, country, and soul music have lead to song writing collaborations with Jeff Dawson (Daniel Powter), Chin Injeti (Eminem), Mark Makoway (Serena Ryder), Steven Drake (Odds), John Ellis (Be Good Tanyas), Steven Fearing (Blackie And The Rodeo Kings), Colin Nairne (Barney Bentall), Dave Reimer (The Roswells), Craig Zurba (Aaron Pritchett), Mae Moore, and David Blair. Rose's band members who are known as The Wranglers have included such musical talents as Tim Bovaconti (Ron Sexsmith), Peter Fusco (Sarah Slean), Ian Brown (Mathew Good), Dennis Marcenko (kd lang), and Marc Wild (Adrienne Pierce). She has opened for 54-40, Mathew Barber, Lynn Miles, Garrison Starr (US), Melissa Ferrick (US), Dave Mann (AU), Mihirangi (NZ), and is lucky enough to have played shows with numerous musicians all over the globe.

Rose's debut album 'Replies' (Pacific/Warner) garnered a national buzz on radio for her version of the Eurogliders' song "Heaven Must Be There". Her own version of the song caught wind and was heard by the original songwriter Bernie Lynch, and with his help, lead to the song being featured in a Discovery Coast Tourism Australia television and radio ad campaign. Since then Rose has recorded two records, 'Back Of The Bus' and 'No Ordinary Day', including a Christmas album entitled 'Winter Town' (Canada) / 'Angel For Christmas' (International) which landed her a publishing deal for her Christmas songs and regular features of her music on The Young And The Restless and other television shows. Although the album is composed mainly of original music, Rose was inspired by Robert Downey Jr and Sarah McLachlan's versions of the Joni Mitchell song "River" and recorded her own take on this classic song.

The Canadian chanteuse's latest album Fall Into You is written, arranged and self-produced by the artist with engineer/guitarist Dave Corman (the new My Little Pony TV Show, The Higgins) and mixed by Ryan Stewart (Andrew Allen, Carly Rae Jepsen). Marlow Holder (Kinnie Starr) lends his bass chops and Kyle Radomsky (The Higgins) contributes on drums. The record is scheduled for release September 2011. A previous Canadian Musician Magazine song winner, Rose was awarded first place in the 2011 Ourstage Christmas song contest for her song "Angel For Christmas". Three of her Christmas songs will be released this year by The Girls Against Abuse Music Charity Project. The young singers are based out of Los Angeles and produced by a former American Idol scout who used to work alongside Simon Cowell. girlsagainstabuse.blogspot.com
