Naomi Jane's qualifications include an GNVQ, AVCE and Foundation in Art and Design specialising in textiles, A NCFE in Illustration and a certificate of higher education in Textiles and Surface Design.

A lifelong interest in Knitting, Clothes and Surface Design has cumulated in the creation of this business selling knitwear, homeware and accessories.
She also does Illustration, Product Design, Embroidery, Millinery and Image conversion to order.


"I simply can't imagine doing anything else with my life then creating my pieces.

I think yarn was one of my first loves, I can't remember a time when I was without it and I feel that what I create has to be worthy of the materials I choose.
I have a lot of yarn that I've had fora long time, carefully stored until I know what to do with it.
I use a lot of vintage and rare yarns either as main ingredients or as focal points in my pieces and I find the majority of my inspiration in the Pre Raphaelites, the Rococo era, Victorian/Edwardian styles and Myths and Legends.

I like to think that my work reflects my diverse inspiration in my choice of materials and shapes. I consider working as important as eating and drinking and if I stop working for even a couple of days I find myself almost diminished and swamped by ideas which I have to get down onto paper as soon as I can.
I could never consider a life without colour and I love to see people on the street wearing gloriously flamboyant clothes and hats and can never understand why people hide away in dull and shapeless material when with a bit of work you can create something truly original. Don't forget that a hat of any kind gives you a boost like no other."
