Photography was a way for me to get out of other classes in my senior year of high school. I really never took it seriously then, but as happens so often, the bug had bitten and the itch never went away.

A couple of years later, while in the Air Force, I bought a Mamiya 645 and started to 'play around' more seriously. 'Play' it was and 'play' it still is. I got into the sandbox in 1979 and only got out of it a couple of times. Once to get married, then when we had our first child and again when our second came. But they were extended trips out of the sandbox.

Recently, I was blessed to be given a Nikon D60 to play with by my family. All these years later they never forgot. Now I'm beginning to learn all over, this time digitally.

I enjoy good candid shots of people when they are caught in the acts of life. These capture the essence of of who we are. Nature shots and nature abstracts are what I like the most. I look at the galleys of some of those here and around the web and wonder if I'll ever be able to see the world the way they do.

All of the photos that you see here on flickr, and those that you don't; all of the work that I do; all of the love that I have; all of my life is for the glory of God.

In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
