A recent change in my life brought me to photography in search of solace as well as a search for a new level of intimacy with my surroundings. Since starting down this path some five years ago now (2004) I have discovered a whole new way of going at the world, through the eye of my camera and the eye of my mind which sometime manage to work together to gather in the light of sun upon so many different parts of existence. I have learned so much from my flickr friends here and seek everyday to find some worthy image to give back in return for their many gifts to me. I start always with my mountain, an anchor point for me, and travel around and about from there, drawing upon its inspiration and the many lessons it has taught me, the spirit that rises so easily from its morning yawns and evening dances, its golden grasses and pungent bay trees. Now I try to stretch beyond its limits to see how filtered natural light helps us see what is just always in front of us but perhaps not so easily etched out of all that is there. Thank you all my flckr friends for your inspiration, your sensitivities, your techniqes, your most enjoyable and moving images!
