I have been on Flickr since May 2005, about 6 months after it basically was live. I recently put most of my photos on private because I think Flickr has evolved. I am not complaining, but it’s not what it started out to be as far as I thought, and that’s perhaps a good thing. I originally used it to post photos to share with family and friends, but now its more about sharing life. Some folks are into promotion, linking, advertising and some are out to capture explored badges of honor. I have made some nice contacts on Flickr. We keep in touch by sharing bits of our lives through photography. I must admit that I have thinned out my groups and even my contacts - some have sadly been doing this so long they have fallen ill, died, or worse yet, gone senile learning new digital darkroom techniques.

If you are my contact, I follow and comment fairly regularly. I will often make fun of your photos and sometimes tease about “our” relationship. It’s my version of reality Internet. Flickr is a community.
