I also do NOT like receiving awards for my photos like "Blue Ribbon", "Best World Photo" "Best Nature Photo" "Golden Star Award" or whatever you want to call them. I do NOT think of Flickr as a photographic competition I am just an old bloke who likes to take a few photos for myself and occasionally share some with others.

I just do NOT see the point of adding someone as a contact if you never ever plan to look at my photos again. I do NOT want to be on your Contact list just because you are on some personal ego trip and collect Contacts as though they were toys or medals and to make YOU THINK YOU THAT YOU ARE WELL LIKED AND IMPORTANT. YOU ARE NOT.

I keep my contact list to 25 or less so that I can VIEW their photos. Too many contacts mean photos often get missed.

If I add a photo of yours to my Favourites list it is because I like the photo. I may NOT want you as a contact.

I DO NOT LIKE DIGITAL ENHANCED PHOTOS
I like to see photos NATURAL and in the SAME colours that YOU saw them when YOU took the photo NOT in some psychedelic artificial colours of how you think the place/thing/person etc should look like. To do such for me RUINS the photo and I think you are living in a dream world rather than the wonderful NATURAL colours nature gave us.
