I aim to live to the fullest.
I get so inspired by everyone's beautiful and insane images on this site. I love flickr. Check out the Outer Banks group I started: www.flickr.com/groups/33912355@N00/. Send pictures if you have any of this area. It's like a home away from home for me. I have a wonderful husband and daughter...a great family and many dear friends. I love animals and have two cats and a dog. I am a subversive Pollyanna at heart. Rawk-n-roll do-gooder. Cynical optimist. People are endlessly fascinating to me in all of their infinite variations. My crayon box overflows. Vive la difference! If we were all a little more understanding and accepting of each other, the world might be a little less tense and a little more tolerable, but I feel I'm preaching here to the choir. After all, this is flickr - a great space where worlds collide and combine into some pretty amazing new forms.
I've been having fun photographing since I first got a Minolta X-700 35mm back in 1983. Then got a little Kodak Easyshare LS443 in 2001. Now I've broken into the big fun league with a Nikon D50 which I'm just starting to get acquainted with....should be a fun ride. And also just got a sweet little Canon SD600 Elph. The Easyshare met its demise after a short but strenuous life. I especially love doing macro and other weird stuff, manipulations, etc. Started out as an art major in college but shifted my focus but still have need for creating visuals. Having fun on the journey.
In my professional life I'm a school psychologist. In the past I've worked in advertising, public relations and broadcasting, mostly as a writer. Love love love BOOKS MUSIC ART and IDEAS. Definitely on the PROGRESSIVE end of the spectrum. Want to leave this world thinking I've done something to make it a little better whilst laughing my ass off.

I met her through a network of Akron/Canton area punk rockers who helped make the scene in and around Akron/Kent during the mid to late seventies. She had the wisdom and intelligence to turn away from satin clad bar bands and look for the new and different. She hung with a group of friends who followed the then unknown Devo, Rubber City Rebels, The Dead Boys, Hammer Damage and the rest. She dressed to the nines, and knocked out most guys who saw her.
