After a period of floating around the country, I seem to have settled into L.A. The city and its people suit me. And the tacos are good. Not to mention I have a washer/dryer in my building.

I'm a copy editor at the L.A. Weekly, and do freelance copy editing, proofreading and writing for a couple clients in Cleveland. But, in a sign L.A. is getting deeper into me, I'm also working on a podcast with a couple friends called "Hudson & Gaines" (www.hudsonandgaines.com). It's a local radio news-talk show covering the fictional town of Great Haven. I invite you to listen.

I think the digital camera thing is pretty neat too. It fulfills my occasional desire to catalog the odd little scenes and patterns I run into on a daily basis. Things start to make some kind of sense when I assemble those images and make connections among them.
