Tagging

Generally, I take photos of things that interest me. According to my tags page, my most popular tag is Auckland. This isn't really all that surprising, considering I lived there for 11 years.

Because my camera is small, I usually take it with me whenever I go out. As a result, it's always there to check out the business.

Weapon of choice

I use a Canon PowerShot G9. I like it cos it's a digital compact so it doesn't freak people out the way an SLR does, yet it has the flexibility of an SLR. Not that I use the aperture priority setting, but it's nice to know it's there.

Ye olde

Previously I used a Canon IXUS 700 with a sweet 1 gig card. I took it everywhere with me and it served me well and taught me things.

My first digital camera was a Fuji MX-1700. When I bought it back in '00, it was a nice little camera. Mysteriously, it seems to have grown, and it's now a chunky cumbersome old thing. It still takes decent photos, though.

Prior to that I used a slew of disposable cameras, which I am still partial to. There may also be a few scans from my Pentax P30n, which was my SLR from my ill-fated high-school photography period. And before that, I had a cute little Afgamatic that used 110 cartridge film. It was my 10th birthday present.

When I'm not taking photos of things, I write about things here on my blog.
