A graduate of the influential Centre for Contemporary Cultural Studies at the University of Birmingham, I've worked in the third sector for ten years - the last six or so in public relations. I'm a trustee of sector body - and non-profit - CharityComms; and run the 'Third Sector PR and Communications network'. I write for The Guardian as part of its Voluntary Sector Network, and also have a regular column in Civil Society IT magazine. I blog on third sector opinion and issues at robdysonpr.com.

My day job is PR Manager at UK charity Whizz-Kidz, where I spearhead the organisation's social media strategy, as well as devise and deliver traditional media relations.
