Friend of the Thirsty

Six hundred & forty-two beers & ales, & every hard drink known to the Irish.

You're already legless drunk, you say? Well, come in, come in, say hello hello & we'll call a cab for you & pay the fare. Come back in the morning.

You want to say what you think, do you? Then do it! Just don't be telling me or the patrons what we should think. Say your piece - Hurrah! - & lift a glass to the rest of us. We'll be telling you what we think while paying the next round.

You want to argue? Why ever would you want to do that? You don't really want to be introduced properly to me dear boyo, Bone Crusher. And you surely don't want to meet the Quiet Man on the lonely path to the loo behind the scary old oak tree.

Respect what Little John oft whispered in my ear, "What you do this day will last longer than your life."

Éirinn go Brách,

Robin Dude, Publican

    NVS_Inc says:

"Robin Dude is a master of the craft who captures an often overlooked reality of life available only to those willing to perceive it. Robin Dude is this and more, he is a poet, who in his work delivers the wisdom and knowledge of a king, the king of a land called Bellingham.

Bellingham WA is a city which Robin portrays with an expert eye. He dares us to understand the ebb and flow of the world around us, the highs and the lows, the joy and the pain, the righteous and the wicked. His view of the world is not unique. It is available on any street corner. In any city in the nation. In the loneliest corner of the globe."

"Robin's Art, photography and writing are impressive. The previous testimonial is quite an act to follow...and while mine may lack poetic justice, I really appreciate Robin's extra efforts to provide information plus encouragement for me to look around for the appropriate groups in Flickr. Thanks Robin. Dude!"

    Lea Kelley says:

"In viewing the images and reading the captions and comments to which Robin Dude so graciously responds, I am in awe at the complexity and the metaphoric quality of his work.
His images truly illicit at least a thousand words and his words are loaded with imagery.
This site demonstrates the delicate balance of the intellectual and the artist.
Robin Dude, as a photographer, brings us a rich insight into the world around us so that we may participate in our environment through his eye of life experience.
His humor and his inclination to educate anyone who is willing, is an added bonus to viewing his photographic works.
The irony, the contradictory beauty of humans, the clever capturing of fleeting moments, and the inspirational analysis of random objects and situations are generous gifts to us all.
Thank You, Robin Dude, friend of the thirsty.
I shall continue to sip with appreciation from your fine chalice."
