I've taken up painting since I retired, and enjoy the very vibrant colors of painters such as Matisse, Vlaminck, and Joan Brown, Manuel Neri, Nathan Oliviera. I now primarily paint figurative pictures, or portraits, in acrylic, but previously had done quite a few landscapes. I will be the featured artist (impressive, yes??) at Orinda Books, a very fine bookstore located at 276 Village Square, (near Safeway) in Orinda. I'll be displaying approximately thirty portraits, and three landscapes through January.
