The first time I thought I wanted to be a photographer was seeing a Depeche Mode picture by Anton Corbjn, I don't remember when it was but I remember a special on TV about them and I remember seeing this blue picture with one of them and thinking I wanted to do that too. I didn't go out the whole summer to buy a camera and I remember using my sister crap semi compact camera to take self portraits even though I did not have the money to develop the images.

Since then I had a love and hate relationship with photography, hate mostly because I could not afford the equipment I wanted and love just because I always felt that photography is what I always wanted to do.

After many years of half hearted attempts to make photography my "job" finally in 2006/7 I decided to give it another go buying a relatively cheap digital camera. I was pleased with the results and I started to get very good responses from people. I bought a better camera almost immediately and since then I produced lots of stuff I am very proud of.

Like most artists I tried almost immediately to conceptualise my work but now I realise that is very limiting and that as an artist I should have the freedom to do whatever I want and not follow a line of work just because that would make me more marketable!

What I can say is that as a general rule I love photographing people rather than objects or landscapes. I also like to tell a story or simply express an idea or simply start from something to see where the idea can take me.
