gcs "the way it is" says:

"The majority (nearly) of my "favorites" album is adorned with Robert's images. I am consistently awed by the way he captures light as it wraps around his subjects (the lovely M, his friends, family, Doug and Pico and the Late Jackson, let alone his landscapes) like liquid, glorifying the mundane and humbling the extraordinary."

    Sputnik+ says:

"Rob's pictures capture desolation like nobody's business and I love them for that. His stream is one that I will visit time and time again. They are poetic without trying too hard to be one and when viewed together, it forms a cohesive collection."

    achuka says:

"Robert is king of the captions - it's worth visiting his stream for the captions alone - except that they are nothing without the images they comment on, and give extra dimensions to - he is, above all, a great photographer - to get the full benefit of his work you usually need to view the larger image, because in many of his fotos he favours dark lighting and low brightness levels - the thumbnails rarely do them justice - follow the links in his Profile to his bio and journal and you will discover that he is a young painter with both a sharp & languid attitude - as well as taking photos well, he also writes well - a name to watch, I reckon..."

    aba*boy says:

"well, i just watched Robert's first 564 pictures. i'm amazed by his having both a sharp and transparent talent in cutting reality as a blade, and an intimate, poetic talent in catching a fragment of interiority (both his or others'). i think robert is a real artist: he's an artist inside, no matter how much photographic tecnique he has, he just made me feel like he felt while taking every single shot.
thanx rob, your pics are moments of happiness to me."
