  "I'm not kidding when I say that I have trouble picking favs from Robert's work, because if I faved everything that I really like, I'd fave the lot. Whether reducing the human face to just a few gestures that penetrate the being of his subject and say more than a literal account of the surface could say; or composing glimpses of the fractal nature of existence with paper or paint, Robert arrests the viewer (this viewer, anyway) and compells an answer to the question: Who are you, and what do you really want to be/do?"
